Shukpa began with a simple question:

Why does fragrance have to be burned, plugged in, or powered by a machine?

I wanted to create something quieter — a fragrance ritual built around stone, scent and stillness.

That idea became KORA, the first Shukpa artifact.

I started Shukpa with a simple idea — to create a quieter way to experience fragrance, without smoke, flame or machinery. A ritual to pause, breathe, and return to yourself.

KORA is the first expression of that idea.”

FROM AN IDEA TO KORA

I designed KORA and worked with an artisan in Rajasthan to bring the first prototype to life.

The first prototype was made by hand, followed by the first five KORA artifacts.

At the same time, the fragrance was developed personally by me through multiple essential-oil formulations and testing.

The result became our first fragrance:
